πŸ“š Reading Together, Reflecting on 2025, and Looking Ahead

Dear Reader,

As 2025 comes to a close, I want to pause and reflect on what the ADHDtime Book Club has become and why it continues to matter to me.

The Book Club started for a very practical reason. Like many people with ADHD, I had purchased a growing stack of thoughtful, meaningful books and struggled to follow through on reading them. I needed accountability. What I did not fully anticipate was how quickly this personal structure would grow into a shared community for ADHD professionals, adults with ADHD, and the people who love and support them.

In 2025, the Book Club read 13 books, covering 3,233 pages across topics that included memory, relationships, identity, productivity, and lived experience. Some members read every single book. Many read one, two, or a few. All participation counted. The value was never perfection. It was curiosity, conversation, and connection.

What made these meetings meaningful was not just the content of the books, but the space we created together. A space where it was okay to say, β€œI didn’t finish the book, but this chapter really stayed with me.” A space where clinicians and ADHD'ers could sit side by side, learning from research, lived experience, and one another.

Looking ahead to 2026, my hope is to continue deepening these conversations while keeping the Book Club accessible, welcoming, and low pressure. We will read books that challenge assumptions, expand understanding, and reflect the diversity of ADHD across the lifespan. Most importantly, we will keep reading together, not to check a box, but to think, reflect, and connect.

If you have been reading along quietly, joining occasionally, or planning to attend for the first time, you are very welcome here.

Attendance is free.

You are welcome to purchase any of these books through my Bookshop bookstore, which supports both me and independent bookstores. This is not Amazon. It is a platform that helps small individual bookstores thrive while also supporting creators and educators like me.

Looking for ADHD friendly gift ideas that are thoughtful and genuinely useful?

Read the ADHD Gift Guide Blog

I’ve put together a new blog post featuring books, fidgets, digital tools, and other supports that many adults with ADHD actually use and appreciate. These are items I often recommend in my work and use myself.

You’re invited to take a look, and if you have favorite gifts you love giving or receiving, I would love to hear about them. I plan to continue updating the list so it can grow into a shared resource we can all benefit from.

Hope to see you at our 2026 meetings. I am truly looking forward to diving into these new books together.
